would You Like To Contribute to Lorain's Caboose?
The restoration of our caboose has been projected at a cost of $15,000. The Caboose Crew restoring the caboose is an “all Volunteer” team. In order to raise funds for this project we will be offering many different opportunities for you to get involved. Options include direct donations as well as many fundraisers. You can also choose to donate your time by volunteering. Please check back often to see new events and opportunities that will be added.

We are now able to accept cash donations online! This is possible through our PayPal portal. Both options, the “Donate” button and the QR Code will allow you to donate with PayPal and credit or debit cards. You DO NOT need a PayPal account to use these methods. EVENTS
We have two types of fundraising events. The first is what we would call “informational/fundraising”. This is where members of the Caboose Crew set up a booth or do a presentation at another event. An example would be a booth at Brewfest or speaking at The Rotary. At these types of events our goal in addition to collecting donations, is to spread the word about our caboose. Our second type of event we would call a major fundraising event. An example of this would be our upcoming HOBO DAY AT BLACK RIVER LANDING. Here we will be hosting a Hobo Stew Cookoff and a Flea Market. Please check the EVENTS page of this website for all event details. All forms of donations will also be available at these events. LIMITED EDITION ORNAMENT
In 2019 we released a Limited Edition Christmas ornament of our own Lorain Caboose C-3855. Only 100 were made and no more will be made. Of course the holidays are passed but this ornament makes a great display for your desk or bookshelf. The LED light and battery are included. We have have less than 40 left. At this time the ornament is available at The Lorain Port Authority Office, Caboose events, and through Caboose Committee members. You may also send an email to 3855support@loraincaboose.org to request an ornament. We will work out payment and delivery of the item.

"MAIN STREET" T-SHIRT
The first official piece of “Caboose Gear” is our “Main Street” T-Shirt. Shirts are available in adult and children sizes. At this time the t-shirts are only available at caboose events. TIME
You can’t put a price on the human element of donations. This is no more evident than by looking at the members of our own Caboose Crew which is an all volunteer team. DONATE ITEMS TO US
Donating actual items to us is another avenue for you to be a part of restoring Lorain’s Caboose. This could be done in several ways. A huge challenge to this restoration is finding actual items that were in the caboose when it was in service. Our caboose model is an International C26A of which less than 100 were made and fewer than that are still in existance today. We would welcome items that can be used for our caboose or maybe items that can be traded or sold to acquire the correct parts. Additionally, we are using many every day ordinary items during this restoration. Items like wood, buckets, brushes etc. If you have items or are interested in acquiring items for our use, please go to the ABOUT page of this website and submit the contact form telling us what you would like to donate.
